Terms — Thera

1. Who we are

Thera is a digital wellness platform connecting people seeking support with licensed therapists, plus an AI companion. Operated by Thera Wellness Ltd.

2. Eligibility

You must be 13 or older to use Thera. Users between 13 and 17 require a parent or guardian to manage their account through the Family Hub.

3. Not a medical service

Thera does not provide diagnosis, prescribe medication, or replace emergency care. If you are in crisis in Egypt, call 123 (ambulance) or 122 (police), or 16328 for mental health support.

4. Therapist relationship

Sessions take place between you and an independent licensed therapist. Thera facilitates booking, payment, and the secure session room — the clinical relationship is directly between you and your therapist.

5. Payments & cancellations

Payments are processed by Stripe. You may cancel up to 24 hours before a session for a full refund. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged at the therapist's discretion.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Thera to harass, threaten, or impersonate. Don't attempt to extract clinical advice from the AI for someone else without their consent. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

7. Content & IP

Your messages, journal entries, and uploads remain yours. By using Thera you grant us a limited license to store and display them so the service can function.

8. AI usage

Thera AI may produce inaccurate or outdated information. Always verify important decisions with a licensed professional. Conversations are stored encrypted and used only to improve safety with explicit consent.

9. Termination

You can close your account any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, fraud, or legal compliance.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thera is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced 30 days before they take effect via in-app notice and email.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are resolved in the courts of London.
