Getting started

Is Thera private and confidential?+

Yes. All conversations and bookings use strict role-based access. Therapists only see what's relevant to their patient and admins never read message bodies.

Do you support Arabic?+

Fully. The entire UI, AI assistant and content are bilingual EN / العربية with proper RTL support and IBM Plex Sans Arabic.

Do I need an app?+

No. Thera runs in any modern browser. We'll release native apps once the web experience is polished.

How much does it cost?+

Creating an account and chatting with Thera AI is free. Therapist sessions are paid per booking — prices vary from $40–$150.

For families

Can parents book for their children?+

Yes — parents can manage child profiles in the Family Hub, share notes with the therapist, and receive plain-language session reports.

How do you protect children's data?+

Children's notes and AI conversations are encrypted and visible only to the parent and the assigned therapist. We never expose them in admin tools.

What's the minimum age?+

13. Users 13–17 must have a parent linked to the account.

AI & safety

Is the AI a doctor?+

No. Thera AI is a supportive companion. For diagnoses, medication, or emergencies, always consult a licensed specialist.

What happens in a crisis?+

Our crisis-detection guardrail flags concerning content and immediately surfaces official Egypt emergency and mental-health numbers.

Will my chats be used to train AI?+

No. Conversations are stored encrypted and are never shared with third parties for training.

Booking & therapists

How are therapists vetted?+

Every therapist submits credentials, ID, and clinical references. Our admin team reviews each application within 5 working days.

Can I cancel a session?+

Yes — cancel or reschedule from your dashboard. Free up to 24h before, otherwise the therapist's policy applies.

Which payment methods do you support?+

Card payments via Stripe and regional transfer via InstaPay.

Do you offer insurance billing?+

Not yet. We'll provide a receipt you can submit for reimbursement.
